Ala and Islam both grew up in Jordan and came to the area for work and education. Ala is a PhD student at Purdue University studying poultry vaccine development, while Islam works as a registered nurse at Franciscan Hospital. Both describe themselves as hardworking, caring, and family-oriented, with a strong emphasis on kindness, honesty, and helping others. 

Together, they are raising their two children, Reem and Mohammad, who they describe as loving, playful, sweet, and curious. As a family, they enjoy spending time together, trying new things, playing, learning, and making special memories. Ala enjoys reading and family time, while Islam enjoys cooking.
