As a nonprofit organization, Habitat for Humanity of Lafayette is able to carry out its mission because of the generous support of its donors and partners.

     We raise all of our funds locally.  As a result, we really need your financial support.  Each gift helps us engage in our mission of touching lives (individuals, a family in need, a community…).  Your donation and support literally helps build homes, communities and hope.  Designated Donations are applied to the specific build or project as specified by the donor. Unspecified gifts are applied where most needed. Our most recent audited financial statement is available upon request. All Habitat donations are tax-deductible and will be acknowledged with a letter that you may use for your tax filing.


    Habitat for Humanity of Lafayette is a 501(c)3 Not-for-Profit Organization. Tax receipts are provided for all donations. 100% of every donation is applied toward the overall mission and purpose of the organization. As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of individuals and organizations to help achieve our mission.
     HFHL is governed by an independent Board of Directors. Annually, we are audited by an independent certified public accountant. Our financial statement is a matter of public record. We are registered with the State of Indiana as a non-profit organization. We never have, nor will we ever exchange or sell donor addresses and/or information to anyone. Gifts will be applied according to their designation and/or where the need is greatest.
     HFHL does not contract for or outsource any of its fundraising and development needs.  All photographs, stories, creative design and appeal letters come through the authentic efforts of mission staff and volunteers.  This is a matter of principle and stewardship for each resource and donation given in favor of the people we serve.
