Bringing together women from all over Greater Lafayette, the Women Build is a celebration of the vital role women play in building homes, building community, and building hope. Every Women Build home is funded and built by hundreds of inspiring and engaged women leaders dedicated to making Greater Lafayette a better, more affordable place to live.  <\/p><\/div>

The Women Build is a year-long effort. From team recruitment, to fundraising, to the actual construction of the house, every stage of the process is an important step in order to make an impact on a family that will span generations. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The beating heart of Women Build, our 21 amazing team captains are the primary source of support, information, and logistics for their team. Our team captains inspire passion and encourage fun.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Made up of 21 teams of 8-10 women each, every team raises $2500 to help fund construction of the house and volunteers on one build day to help construct the home.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

kickoff<\/h1>\nJune<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Marking the beginning of construction, the Kickoff celebrates the embarkation of construction.  Among good company, we'll introduce the partner family who will own the house,  pray over the house and the upcoming work,  and officially raise the walls!<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Construction begins in June and takes approximately 3 months to complete. With build days scheduled Wednesday-Saturday, each team volunteers on a chosen build day from 8am-4pm. <\/div><\/div>

The culminating event of Women Build, the House blessing is a joyous celebration of all the work  required to get to the finish line.  Our sponsors, volunteers,  supporters  and staff all get to enjoy the moment when we turn over the keys to our partner family for the very first time. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>
