What makes a house a home to you?
Home is where I find peace and quiet, yet with all the noise and laughter that comes with spending time with friends and family. It always makes me smile once I realize my granddaughters have left fingerprints all over my windows.

A fter graduating from Lafayette Jefferson High School, Debbie began working in the homebuilding industry right away. She first volunteered for Habitat in 2000 and became our Property and Land Manager in 2008.

Debbie enjoys working with partner families and seeing them realize that a Habitat home is an alternative to substandard housing. She also loves witnessing the sense of pride and accomplishment partners feel as they complete their sweat equity and homeownership hours in exchange for a clean, healthy living environment for their families.

Debbie has been married since 1977. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and four granddaughters in Lafayette and at their lake property.

Debbie enjoys seeing partner families realize that a Habitat home is an alternative to substandard housing.
